As part of our history and social studies at school, our class of 2021 went on an impressive trip to Berlin in November `22.

Hermann, our entertaining busdriver, navigated us calmly through our capital city, where we visited, among other things, the Parliament of Federal Republic of Germany (den Bundestag) and the Chancellery House (Bundestkanzleramt), Check-Point Charly and the „Futurium“. The Futurium, one of my personal highlights, is an interactive exhibition where everything revolves around our future life on earth.

Moreover, we had the chance to ask Dr. Paula Piechotta, a representative of the party „Bündnis 90/ Die Grünen“, some questions. Next to our engagement with politics we also went back in time, walking 18 meters below the surface in the bunker Zossen and visited the exhibition „Topografie des Terrors“ for a closer view on the Holocaust.

Luckily, besides all the exhausting and overwhelming impressions, the evenings were free, to relax and explore the big „B“ for ourselves.

All in all, I can say that this class trip was just amazing.

So, if you are up for a short time out of school and interested in upgrading your knowledge in real life – You won‘t regret it!
